The construction of 57 steel balconies for the new housing development in King’s Cross (London). The project was a recovery work of the former industrial area in King’s Cross, where the dismantled gasholders were redesigned into prestigious housing units by Wilkinson Eyre.
“The Wilkinson Eyre project transforms the Victorian gasholders into 145 residential apartments, built within the three structural frames of the Gasholders, reclaimed as elegant frames.
The cylinders have different heights to remember their original function, which led them to increase or decrease the external dimension depending on the volume stored inside
