The project
The new Acciaieria Bertoli Safau (ABS), the steel-making division of the Danieli S.p.a. group, sees the involvement of our company in the production of 1,200 tonnes of steel divided into tracks, columns and trusses.
For the tracks, the designer requested a change of section on the core, which is tapered to 15 millimetres from a thickness of 35 millimetres.
Metalsan met the design requirements by restoring the continuity of the element through accurate full penetration welding.
