The project

For a major customer in the transport and special lifting sector, Metalsan produced a welded double-core girder with special technical characteristics.
The structure represents a challenge not only because of its overall dimensions, having an overall length of 14m and 55 tonnes of weight, but also because of the machining required.
The tight time schedule necessitated the use of a new assembly concept: the structure was made in two halves, interlocked and then finally welded together.
The project was thus completed on time, with the quality that has always been a hallmark of our work.
