The project

Inaugurated in January 2013, the Shoah Memorial in Milan represents one of Metalsan’s first works in the field of art architecture.
Below Milan Central Station, on the street level, is the steel structure (50 tonnes) built by our company to house the library designed by the architect Morpurgo de Curtis Architetti Associati.

” The library (...) is contained in a volume of steel and glass. Inside this sort of “building within a building”, the space stretches longitudinally for 40 metres with a width of about 9 metres. A wall measuring approximately 30 metres by 7 metres in height forms the main bookcase: it is the “Wall of Books”.
